Speaking of Thrift Shops...

I wrote a post recently about finding the unexpected at thrift shops. Today was one of those days.

For $1.50 I found this brand new Alexa Pulitzer Mousepad/Notepad still wrapped in its original packaging. Now, I'd never heard of Pulitzer, but I looked her up online this afternoon and I am now a fan of both her art and her products.
Of course, the image doesn't do the product justice, but the paper is creamy and the illustration is dark and light greys. The specs on the Pulitzer website are as follows:
"Get the best of both worlds! This oversized Notepad saves desk space by providing two purposes: a writing pad and a mousepad. Perfect for writing down passwords and daily tasks with a convenient never-ending calendar. My hand-drawn illustrations are flat printed with an environmentally-friendly, soy-based ink on premium, USA-made, Ecru textured Felt paper. All of my creations are designed and proudly printed in New Orleans.
DETAILS
50 sheets, padded at top
Round edges
Dimensions (9” wide x 7.25” tall)"

The back of the entire notepad is a thick, printed piece of cardboard, which would be quite difficult to bend, or even crease.
Take a look at her website HERE.
